Youngsters get their chance to swing like Tiger

Aspiring young golfers, keen to emulate the success of Tiger Woods, get their chance to take up the sport with the launch of the exciting new YMG Young Master Golf junior golf instruction.

Hosted by club PGA Golf Professionals, the unique new programme offers boys and girls between the ages of 6- and 16-years the most comprehensive introduction to golf the game has ever seen, and is open to everyone. "The success of players like Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia has made golf extremely popular with young people, but the problem for most has been how to get started in the game.

Now for the first time, an exciting junior golf programme is available to young people, which not only makes it easy for them to start playing golf, but also helps them to progress to a level where they can compete with other youngsters, or simply enjoy playing a healthy, relaxing sport for the rest of their lives." Youngsters who want to take part in the YMG programme don't need to be a member of a golf course, or even own a golf clubl.

A student’s progression, through the various coaching levels will be based on technical ability, gauged by continuous coaching assessment, competitive handicaps and meeting formal standards, set by the Junior Academy, through the ClubGolf program
