Teas and Coffees are available in the Duncanrig Hall after this morning’s service.

As we approach the end of the year a number of rotas and the like are soon to be revised ready for 2018. All aspects of church life potentially need additional people to help out. If you would like to have a fuller participation in the life and work of Westwood Church then you are invited to enter your name and phone number on the Volunteers Sheet in the Hall of Fellowship. We’ll be in touch with you. Some aspects of church life are governed by Data Protection and Protection of Vulnerable Groups. Please don’t be offended if there is a delay is processing your willingness to take on a new role in church life.

The Church Family Christmas Party takes place on Sunday 17th December from 2pm to 5pm. Tickets for that event are now available at a very modest price. The party is open to all who wish to have an enjoyable afternoon in good company.

I’m glad to confirm the concert by East Kilbride brass band Dynamica in our church at 7pm on Sunday 17th Dec. The band is lead by Brian Lambert and David McClounie both of whom were formerly BB officers in Westwood Church.

Those who have already received the Church magazine may have already noticed that a previous edition of the Parish Register has been printed by mistake. We do apologise if any offence or distress that may have been caused by this. The Parish Register will be brought up to date in the next issue.

The Church of Scotland are promoting a new “Together We Pray” initiative. The resources encourage all congregations of the Church to pray for the life and work of the Church of Scotland. The national day of prayer for the church was yesterday Saturday 25th Nov. Over the Advent period we participate in the prayers and themes of “Together We Pray”
