In the Church versus Red Deer Bowling Club competition held yesterday 12thMay.  The outcome was…

Many thanks to Bill Lennie and others who made the event possible and to all who took part however skilled or unskilled on the bowling green.  It was a good time, enjoyed by all.

We welcome Julie Ritchie of Bobath Scotland back into our midst today.  A little later in the service we will be presenting the Easter Festival funds.

Tomorrow night Monday 14thMay the Kirk Session meets at 7.30pm. Reports from Hall Management, Property and Hall Lets are available in dookits.  Elders will also find that Church Magazines, Fete flyers and communion cards will all be in dookits by next Sunday.

Next Sunday 20thMay, Mark Williams will be taking the morning service as the minister is committed to activities at the General Assembly.  Sunday 20thMay is the occasion of the Heart and Soul event in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh from 12.30pm to 6pm. The work done by Our Lady of Lourdes and Westwood will be highlighted in the Ecumenical Relations marquee.  Heart & Soul has grown into a genuinely good event. If you have the opportunity to join the event then please do.

Agape Wellbeing Centre in East Kilbride are currently looking for volunteers to help in their charity shop and are also advertising for a paid post as centre manager. If you want to know more you’ll find a news post on the church website.

Looking toward the end of this month Kirk Lunches conclude for the summer on Tuesday 29thMay and Tea ‘n Toast concludes on Wednesday 30thMay.

Many thanks to those who have kindly expressed their good wishes to me on hearing news of my election to be Moderator of Hamilton Presbytery from September of this year. Your kind words of support are very much appreciated.

The Girl’s Brigade display takes place on Tuesday 15thMay from 7.30pm.  An invitation is extended to all who wish to support the company’s activities at the 50thAnniversary display.
