From the Pulpit 11 Nov ’18

Categories: Intimations

In order to complete a Season of Remembrance for the end of WW1 a short prayer service will be held in our church at 6.30pm, which will conclude at 7pm with Last Post, Reveille and the ringing of our church bells.

Next Sunday 18thNovember I will be joining the congregation at Moncreiff Church as they celebrate 175 years since the founding of the congregation and 60 years in their current location at Calderwood.  Mr Mark Williams will be leading worship in Westwood that day.

On Sunday 18thNovember at 3pm an inter-faith gathering is being held in Greenhills Church at 3pm.  It is a time of coming together to meet those in our community whose culture and faith may differ from our own and to build bridges.  As we emerge from a season of Remembrance there are few things we could do that might be more valuable than this.

The Kirk Session meets on Monday 12thNovember at 7.30pm

And looking slightly more to the future Saturday 1stDecember is our church’s Christmas Fete.  You may want to put the date in your diary
